Saturday Nights at the Leederville Comedy Club

If you’re looking for something a little different to start your Saturday night, the Leederville Comedy Club offers an easy hour of live comedy before heading out for dinner or drinks.

Held upstairs at The Leederville Hotel on Newcastle Street, the One Hour Comedy Show runs every Saturday evening, with the club bar opening at 5.30pm before the show begins at 6pm and finishes at 7pm.

One hour, plenty of laughs

Rather than building the night around a single comedian, each weekly showcase features a rotating line-up of around five or six performers, bringing together Perth comedians, national touring acts, international guests and the occasional surprise drop-in.

The club has previously welcomed an impressive range of performers, including Mark Normand, Dilruk Jayasinha, Stephen K Amos, Joe Wong, Daniel Muggleton, Chris Franklin and other established comedians from Australia and overseas.

The result is a quick-moving show with a variety of comedy styles packed into just 60 minutes, making it equally suited to a date night, a catch-up with friends or simply an excuse to do something different on a Saturday evening.

Make a night of it in Leederville

Part of the appeal is the timing. With the show wrapping up at 7pm, there is still plenty of time to continue the evening in Leederville.

The Comedy Club sits within The Leederville Precinct, surrounded by plenty of options for dinner and drinks, including The Leederville Hotel, Servo and The Garden. You can arrive early for a drink at the dedicated Comedy Club bar, catch the show, then head downstairs or out into Leederville for the rest of the night.

The club is run by Grassroots Comedy, an Australian comedy network that produces hundreds of live events each year and works with a large network of local, national and international stand-up comedians.
