If your ideal weekend involves eating your way through Perth’s best bites, block out your calendar: the Nom Nom Festival is bringing six weeks of flavour, fun and festivities to the Leederville Precinct from July 7 to August 17. From street eats and bar takeovers to live music and family-friendly laneway fun, this winter event is shaping up to be one of the highlights of the season.

Kicking off this weekend: a two-day launch event
It all starts with a two-day launch party on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 June, where the precinct will come alive with food stalls, live performers, DJs and exclusive pop-ups. Think bao buns, burgers, gelato and cocktails — all spilling out onto the streets in classic Leedy style. Expect special one-off dishes from Servo, Sandgropers, Daph’s and more, making it a perfect taster of what’s to come across the full festival.

A six-week celebration of all things delicious
From July 7, the full program will roll out with themed food events, restaurant collaborations, and activations designed to keep locals coming back for more. Whether you're a Leederville regular or just curious to explore, the Nom Nom Festival is a great excuse to head out mid-winter and indulge in something new.

Family-friendly fun and live entertainment
The launch weekend is also perfect for families — especially Sunday, with face painting, roving performers and hands-on fun for the kids. Meanwhile, live music and laneway DJs will keep things buzzing for the grown-ups, with plenty of cosy corners to settle in with food and drinks.

Cooler weather, warmer vibes
Even if there’s a chill in the air, the weather is looking mostly fine — so it’s the perfect time to throw on a coat and enjoy everything Leedy has to offer. With warming eats, fire pits, mulled wine and plenty of atmosphere, winter has never tasted better.

See what’s happening in your neighbourhood
Leederville continues to evolve, and the Nom Nom Festival is another sign of its growth as one of Perth’s most vibrant precincts. If you’re local, this is a great chance to see what’s new — and if you’re thinking of buying, selling or investing in the area, events like this give a great insight into its unique lifestyle appeal.
